About Child Care Ministry

The boys in school uniforms
New Home for Orphan Children (NHOC) Nepal is a home and great encouragement
for orphans and under-privileged-, poor-, abandoned- and needy- children.
We take care of these types of children. In our home we provide care,
food, housing, shelter, security, and education in an atmosphere of love,
hospitality and a homely environment.
Justification

Malati doing homework
In this country Nepal we do have many more children who are in very poor
conditions. They have an under-privileged status and are war victims (Maoist
war) and orphan children. With losing their parents they lost their future.
These children are from very poor and miserable conditions. They can't
have their meals. They don't have proper shelter, education and medications.
Sometimes they have to do very hard labour.
We are sure that our initiative can be useful for some of these orphans.
They can feel supported, not only by government services or professionals,
but also by persons who, voluntarily, pay attention to his/her situation,
problems and needs. As we care about the children, they will progress.
The relationship between the donors (mostly the remaining family) and
the children is basically like face to face. The children can communicate
with the donors directly as they like and they can also use the donors'
support for their personal needs.
This way, the children have the possibility to gradually establish a
personalized relationship with us. Therefore, they will not necessarily
see it as something "institutional", but more like bond of family between
them and us. To make this bond useful and strong it is necessary that
both build and define it, explicitly and implicitly from the beginning.
On the other hand, it is also necessary that the relationship follows
the human rhythm, so children do not see it as something threatening,
allowing him/her to make it part of his/her environment.
Objectives (vision)
- To bring more homeless, helpless, orphans and very poor children in
NHOC.
- Providing them lodging, food, quality education and loving care.
- Giving them continue education and technical education (what they
want to be in a future).
- To provide them with all physical and spiritual needs and let the
become independent adults.
